In episode 10 of Una Nueva Vida, tensions rise dramatically. At the end of the previous episode, Kazim grabbed Seyran by the throat, demanding to know Suna’s whereabouts. To protect her brother, Suna struck Kazim on the head from behind with a weight, knocking him unconscious. Seeing the incident, Ferit immediately took Kazim to the bathroom, washed away the blood, and broke a bedside lamp to make it look like Kazim had hit his head accidentally. Kazim left the mansion in a rush, heading home.
Wanting to prevent further trouble for her family, Suna decides to return home. She leaves a letter and, with Yusuf’s help, slips out of the mansion. However, when she arrives, Kazim attempts to strike her, but Atuk intervenes, shielding her from harm. Meanwhile, a servant who witnessed Yusuf assisting Suna tells Ali Aga. Although initially furious, Ferit calms Ali Aga by explaining that Suna had been trying to avoid a forced marriage to an older man. Ali Aga then goes to Kazim’s house, taking on responsibility for Suna’s education.
Ferit explains to Seyran that his grandfather expects them to have a child and that he used this excuse to help his sister. Seyran, despite her reluctance to be with Ferit, agrees out of gratitude for his help with her sister, though she continually finds ways to avoid his romantic advances. Later, they play table tennis, and although Ferit wins, Seyran is not happy, troubled by her complex feelings toward Ferit.
Meanwhile, Pelin feels pained by the growing bond between Ferit and Seyran. At her mother’s urging, Pelin meets someone new and goes out to dinner with him. Coincidentally, Ferit and Seyran are at the same restaurant. Ferit, consumed by jealousy, approaches Pelin’s table, visibly upset by her new companion, and begins to interact with her. Seyran, deeply hurt by Ferit’s behavior, realizes yet again that she cannot fully trust him.
Kazim later tells Ferit that Seyran never wanted to marry him and had even been beaten and confined to force her consent. Ferit begins to wonder why Seyran was so resistant to the marriage, even if it would mean escaping her oppressive home. His suspicions grow, leading him to ask Seyran if she had been involved with Yusuf before. Offended by the question, Seyran refuses to answer. Ferit then confronts Yusuf directly, asking if he had ever been with Seyran. When Yusuf says “yes,” Seyran, infuriated by this accusation, slaps Yusuf and kicks him out.
Though heartbroken, Ferit thinks he finally understands why Seyran keeps her distance, but Seyran is upset by Ferit’s mistrust. Will these misunderstandings drive them further apart, or will they open up to each other and share their true feelings?
